Jeanne Marion-Damgaard

Jeanne is the Program Manager for a diverse portfolio, including GlobaLinks Abroad Short Courses in the Pacific region, summer and semester-year programs in Berlin, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; Milan, Italy; and Thessaloniki, Greece. She also manages summer programs in Lille, France and Carlow, Ireland. She brings 7 years of experience at two universities, most recently as Lead Study Abroad Advisor & Outreach Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Jeanne has a B.S. in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Intercultural Relations from the Intercultural Communication Institute & the University of the Pacific.

During her senior year of undergraduate study, Jeanne’s opportunity to study abroad finally materialized: she was offered a student-teaching placement in Magdeburg, Germany. This led to an invitation to participate in a German-U.S. Teachers’ Exchange in Dessau, subsequent graduate study at the University of Jena, and a first career in K-12 foreign language instruction.

While living in Germany, she visited much of western Europe, including the Czech Republic, France, Italy, and England and is excited to be working with programs in these countries! In addition, she has traveled to South Korea, Thailand, Laos and Belize and hopes to add a new region to her passport very soon.
