Hong Kong has a subtropical climate with distinct seasons, including a typhoon season. Temperature and humidity are on the rise in spring, but nights can be cool with temperatures ranging from 18 C (64 F) to 27 C (80 F). Summers are hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 27 C (80 F) to 33 C (91 F). This is also the time of most rainfall with August being the month of most precipitation. Autumn brings cooling temperatures and clear sunny days with temperatures in the same range as spring. Winter temperatures cool to a range between 14 C (57 F) to 20 C (68 F).
