Climate in Thailand

Thailand has to be broken into two regions in order to discuss the weather, because the land north of Bangkok consists of three seasons, while the southern peninsula region only has two.

In the Northern region November to February is generally dry with cool breezes from the monsoons in the northeast. March to May is also fairly dry, but has a relatively higher temperature than the first mentioned season. Monsoon season often dominates the north from May to November.

In the southern region the seasons can be broken down into wet and dry, however the rainfall comes at different times on the east and west sides. The wet season in the east runs from September to December while in the east is runs from April to October. The average yearly temperatures in Bangkok are generally between 25°C (77°F) and 30°C (86°F).
