Discovery Activities Our on-site staff will host Discovery Activities throughout the semester that you undertake in order to get the most out of your experience in the 5 areas of discovery . Bridging Cultures Orientation Program The Bridging Cultures Program (BCP) is our multi-day, in-country study abroad orientation program that blends lecture, adventure, and culture together for an informative and fun introduction to the country in which students will be living and studying abroad. The Bridging Cultures Program is a core component of the GlobaLinks Learning Abroad study abroad experience and designed specifically for semester abroad and academic year abroad students. The cost of the program (including most meals, accommodation, transport, and excursions) is included in the program fees. Learn more> Included Excursions for Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji Participants We now include excursions as part of our semester and year abroad programs in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji! You can choose one of four exciting trips throughout the semester. All tour costs are included and you only have to get yourself to the departure point. In addition to these included excursions we offer an optional week-long trip to Thailand during spring break or after your program ends for an amazing low cost. Included Excursions in Spain We provide excursions in addition to the Bridging Cultures Program for all students participating in a semester/academic year program in Spain. These excursions allow students to get familiar with some of the most interesting cities and areas in Spain from a cultural, artistic, and historic perspective. Semester abroad students usually have two overnight trips and two day-long excursions. Some examples of previous excursions include: Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Granada, Portugal, El Escorial, and Valencia. Check out our programs in Spain> Group Flights Many GlobaLinks Learning Abroad semester or year abroad programs offer group flights to their initial stop at the GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Bridging Cultures Program site. This is an easy and convenient way for you to get to the Bridging Cultures Program and meet students before the program begins! STA can further assist you with affordable stopovers as well as a ticket from your home city to your destination. Further information about booking your flight will be provided once you are accepted to the program. If you are participating in a program where we do not offer great flights students often arrange to get on the same flight with other students through our Facebook groups.
